Located in the beautiful province of Cantabria, in Polanco, just 20 minutes away from Santander (North of Spain) you will find this typical Cantabrian Mountain Villa. In a beautiful setting this retreat is both charming and historic. In 1879 it was the home of 'Francisco de Pereda,' a close relative of the famous and distinguished writer 'José María Pereda', whose Great Villa has been turned into a museum nearby. Enjoying lush green lawn pastoral views, this amazing three-story stone house lives up to its honourable reputation.
The main suite, located in the penthouse, enjoys lovely views from its balconies and offers a spacious bedroom, a comfortable sitting room, plenty of closets and a bathroom with shower and a stand alone massage bathtub. Also available is a beautiful guest bedroom with an elegant en-suite bathroom containing both bathtub and shower. In addition, there are two more bedrooms and a guest bathroom.
The villa is blessed with a grandiose entrance which features a fireplace. On the ground floor also there is a fine study area which has direct access to the lavish gardens. Meantime, on the first floor you will find a living room - with another fireplace - opened to a dining area and apart a fully fitted rustic style kitchen.
Beside this magical villa you will find 'La Cuadra'. This is a second smaller house built next to the main house. It has been recently renovated and transformed into a cosy and modern home while keeping its traditional Spanish flavour. It comprises three double bedrooms, two of them with en-suite bathrooms whilst the other has access to a third bathroom (all three with shower). A pleasant living room - with a kitchenette - opens to the 'Jardín del Limonero' (Lemon Garden), a favourite place to meet and dine "al fresco" "under the lemon trees.
Together the two homes can accommodate up to 15 people. Each of them house can be rented separately.
